Hello

The Key to relevant and successful products is designing in a human centered, honest and sustainable way.

Products and objects should not only serve human beings, but also become indispensable and beloved companions, according to Dennis. How can this high standard be achieved? Through design that focuses on people, is honest, and has a lasting impact. Designers who are willing to take on this challenge hold the key to creating successful, durable, and relevant products in their hand.

Diversity motivates Dennis. He is a true color enthusiast. His creative work starts with the decision for a particular color as functional element and emotional trigger. He has declared conscious interaction with the environment and its natural resources to be the unshakeable center of his work. Products and objects that he creates must be longlasting, support the user, and be timelessly beautiful. He enjoys working with everyday objects, not only because they provide him the opportunity to continuously improve forms and functions and to think in new categories. It is also about the feeling beyond that: when good design fascinates people and enriches their actions with positive results, then the designer has put poetry and soul into his work. The narrative aspect in Dennis’ work is not a coincidence. During his studies of industrial design at the University of Darmstadt, he spent an exchange semester at the École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle in Paris. There he learned to connect design with narration and to view objects with the imaginative power of a storyteller. After that he worked at renowned design agencies in the areas of furniture, consumer electronics, and bathroom ceramics, until he transferred to Braun in 2013 as Senior Designer and Color Scout.

What does Dennis have a passion for besides work? His family, friends, good food, and sneakers. The latter by the way since fourth grade.
